Introducing The Trading System

Release Date: March 23rd, 2026

We're excited to introduce the Meshcaid Trading System — a fully built-in way to exchange collectibles directly with other players on the platform. Send offers, counter proposals, review MAP values, and confirm trades securely.

How Trading Works

The Trading System lets you propose an exchange of collectible items — and optionally include Nodes — with any eligible player on the platform. Both sides review and agree to the terms. When a trade is accepted, ownership transfers immediately and permanently.

Key things to know upfront:

  • Trades are final once completed. There are no reversals.
  • Both parties must meet the eligibility requirements before sending or accepting.
  • Sending, Accepting, and Countering actions require a valid 2FA confirmation to protect your inventory.

Trading Hub

Your central dashboard for all trade activity, found at meshcaid.com/trading.

  • Incoming — Offers sent to you that are awaiting your response
  • Outgoing — Offers you've sent that are waiting on the other party
  • Archive — Your completed, rejected, expired, and canceled trade history

Filter by status, sort by creation date or expiration, and search by counterparty username.

Sending a Trade Offer

1. Choose Your Counterparty

Find the "Trade" button on any applicable user's profile to build and submit an offer. Their trade eligibility is checked before the form loads — if they're unable to receive offers, you'll be told why.

2. Select Items

Browse and select items from your inventory, with full MAP (Market Average Price) totals shown in real time as you build both sides of the trade.

  • Filter your inventory by search
  • Serial numbers are clearly labelled
  • MAP values are shown per item and as a running total for each side

3. Add Nodes (Optional)

Include Nodes on either side of the offer to balance the value:

  • Nodes cannot exceed 50% of your side's total item MAP value
  • If any selected item on your side has no MAP value, the Nodes on that side must remain 0

4. Review & Confirm

A summary step shows the full offer breakdown — item counts, MAP totals, the value skew between both sides, and any applicable Node fees. Enter your 2FA code to submit.

Counter-Offers

If you receive an offer that isn't quite right, you don't have to reject it outright. Use Counter Offer from the trade detail page to propose revised terms.

  • Counter-offers use the same item selection and Node validation rules as new offers
  • A counter supersedes the original offer — both sides can see the full proposal history
  • The original sender reviews your counter and can accept, reject, or counter again

Trade Detail Pages

Every trade has its own dedicated view with:

  • Full item breakdown for both sides, with MAP values and serial numbers
  • Node amounts and the calculated value skew
  • Current status and a step-by-step status history
  • Action buttons scoped to your role in the trade (accept, reject, cancel, counter)

Eligibility Requirements

To send or accept trades, your account must meet all of the following:

Requirement Details
Verified email Your account email must be confirmed
Two-factor authentication App-based or email 2FA must be enabled
Active subscription An active plan such as Basic or Pro is required
Account in good standing Warnings, suspensions, or restrictions block trading
No trade ban Accounts under a trading restriction cannot participate
No chargeback restrictions Chargeback status blocks trading access
No active trade review hold Trading is paused while a moderation review is open on your account

If your account doesn't meet one or more requirements, you'll see a clear explanation and guidance on how to resolve each issue where possible.

Safety & Fairness

The Trading System was designed with your inventory security in mind.

2FA on Every Acceptance

Accepting a trade always requires a valid 2FA code — app or email. No trade can be completed without it, even if someone has access to your account session.

Lopsided Trade Review

Trades with a heavily skewed MAP ratio are automatically flagged for staff review before completing. While a trade is under review:

  • The receiver can still reject the offer at any time without waiting for moderation
  • Staff approval returns the trade to Pending — it does not complete the transfer automatically

Trade Privacy

Your privacy settings control who can send you trade offers. If a player's settings don't permit offers from you, the system will not allow you to build the trade.

Rate Limiting

To protect against spam and abuse, the number of outbound trade offers you can send within a given window is rate-limited.

Fees & Expiration

Node Fee on Completion

When Nodes are included on the receiving side of a completed trade, a fee applies:

Trade Expiration

Pending trades expire automatically after 7 days if neither party takes action. An expired trade cannot be accepted, countered, or extended.

Trade Statuses

Status Meaning
Pending Awaiting a response from the receiver
Under Review Flagged for staff moderation before completion
Accepted Both parties agreed — items and Nodes have been transferred
Rejected The receiver declined the offer
Canceled The sender withdrew the offer before it was resolved
Superseded This offer was replaced by a counter-offer
